In conjunction with Google Audio, whereby Google advertisers can purchase inventory of available radio air time, POOLCENTER.com has developed several 30 second spots to promote getting your pool ready for spring.
“When Google began spreading their advertising reach into the radio market, our Google rep gave us a call and asked us to participate”
Aimed at the warmer areas of the country, areas such as Houston, Los Angeles and Tamp will be hearing the first spot talk about the “St Patrick Day’s Theme” of a pool. Only it wasn’t intended to be! Following St Pat’s day, the spot changes to another humorous take on green pools.
Produced by Radio Lounge in Houston, Texas, the radio spots capture the fun and frivolity of owning a pool, if not touching on the maintenance required. “We worked with Radio Lounge last year”, said Cox, “and really felt that they knew our customers. Roy, the producer, is a pool owner in fact, in Sugarland [Texas], and the spot came off very nicely. It was a natural for us to return to Radio Lounge again this year to create another humorous outtake”.
The end of the radio ad mentions a coupon code, which we were not able to obtain. We contacted Bridget Matthews in the marketing department, and we were told that “in order to preserve the integrity of the data, we would prefer to offer this code only to those that have heard one of our radio spots. This way, we know how the spot is performing, without diluting the results.”
Another interesting side note, this ad only plays when the weather is 75 degrees or higher. Colder than 75, and I suppose you’re not thinking about going swimming. So, if you happen to be in a sunny southern climate, you just may hear one of these new Google Radio ads from POOLCENTER.com this month
Get that pool going!
