Longview, Texas- From the exotic Bengals to the magnificant Maine Coons, more than 100 cats and kittens will compete for prizes at The International Cat Association, Inc. (TICA) third annual championship and household pet cat show in Longview. Hosted by LA CATS CLUB,"Ooh La La Cats" will be held March 7-8, 2009 at the Longview Fairgrounds Exhibition Building.
Pedigreed cats and kittens will compete in Championship, Kitten or Alter divisions. Household pets and household pet kittens will compete in their own divisions. Breeds that will be represented include Bengal, Maine Coon, Turkish Van, Bombay, Birman, Sphynx, Munchkin, Abyssianian, British Shorthair, Norwegian Forest Cat, Oriental Shorthair
Bombay, Scottish Fold, and more.
The Humane Society will have rescue cats available for adoption in their mobile adoption center which will be parked outside the show hall. La Cats will have a kissing booth set up
in the show hall where you can receive a kiss on the nose from the Famous BooMan Bengal cat. Kisses are $1 and proceeds will go to the rescue cats.
Some exhibitors will have pedigreed kittens for sale. Vendors at the show will feature a variety of cat toys, supplies and cat related items.
Show hours are 9:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. Sunday show hours will be from 8:30 to 3:30. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors 55+ and children under 12
Children 5 and under are free. This is great family entertainment.
The Longview Fairgrounds Exhibit Building is located in the Longview Activity Complex behind Maud Cobb Center.
