TriActive® Version8 Selected as 2009 CODiE Award Finalist

Austin, Texas - TriActive – TriActive, Inc., a pioneer in SaaS for systems management, announced today that the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) has selected their Desktop Management Suite (new version 8) as a finalist in the Best Systems Management Solution category.

Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information and education technology industries. Through a unique combination of journalist and expert peer review, the CODiE Awards recognize 71 categories of outstanding products and services. This year's 345 Finalists represent an impressive array of technology and business excellence and success. Nearly 190 judges encompassing tech trade journalists, consultants, educators, IT and product specialists, and other knowledgeable, yet neutral, experts have reviewed all of the products entered. The Finalists were chosen from more than 850 nominations submitted by 600 companies.

"The competition is particularly steep this year during the 24th Annual SIIA CODiE Awards, making selection as a CODiE Finalist a real achievement," said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. The next step in the process brings the Finalist products before the SIIA members for their votes to determine the winners in each category. The 2009 CODiE Awards will be presented at a gala event on May 5, 2009, at the historic Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA.

"Version 8 adds some tremendous new capabilities," said Ron Halversen, VP marketing, TriActive. "Our new v8 infrastructure provides extended Web-based management to mobile users and sites. The explosion of software titles (literally thousands) and number of versions found on corporate assets introduced by end users and IT staff make it virtually impossible to manage the procurement, tracking, and licensing of software in today's diverse companies. "Our software catalog is now well over 400,000 titles," said Halversen. "The categorization we've done identifies overlapping, personal use, and unauthorized titles as well as license compliance issues. License roll-up counts, machines with duplicate A/V clients, are some of the new capabilities of the catalog."

TriActive is also leading the way when it comes to green IT. Integration with power management tools in the TriActive community make it possible for TriActive customers to import and deploy a tool that will save an average of $150 per PC in their organization each year.
