Feb 27th 2009 – 90di.com has launched an innovative concept called "route rank" for travel routes in India. People often need to choose between a multitude of travel modes when traveling in India.
For example for any travel which is around 6-12 hrs on ground, people need to chose between a bus journey (road transport) or a train. Similarly if the travel is long distance i.e. 600 KM or more. Then people have options in terms of using a train or a flight. Or some times even a combination of train and flight.
Choosing travel options is not sufficient, just based on the travel duration and fare. You also need to take into account things like places where transit happen, the departure arrival times, the train and the airline quality. The 90di engine's "route rank" technology takes all these factors into account and ranks a travel route on a scale of 10.
Apart from this the users (who are expert travelers) can comment on the analysis and ranking done by the engine. The 90di team intends to incorporate user comments, over time to improve the engine's ranking as well as to give a direct view of the comments of travelers alongside the engine's ranking.
