A year of surveying dachshund owners in 47 states across the nation, designing and prototyping their own unique coats and neckwear, and organizing a USA-based manufacturing network went into the launch of the Company.
Standard doggy clothing is far too short to cover the long dachshund back and too tight for the broad dachshund chest. NoodleandFriends.com was conceived with a singular fit and form purpose: to design quality apparel exclusively for dachshunds.
As with “people” fashion, the Company is planning new seasonal collections each year. Starting in 2009, NoodleandFriends.com is launching a collection of warm fleece-lined wool doxie coats and neckwear, including classically inspired designed such as the Peacoat, Camel Coat and Houndstooth Coat as well as contemporary styles such as School Blue Plaid Coat and the Winterberry Coat. Each coat is actually two coats in one - reversible and completely washable. And because dachshunds abhor the rain, NoodleandFriends.com offers the Sunshine and Cherry Red rubber-backed cotton, fleece-lined, waterproof raincoats to keep dachshunds of the world dry and warm.
Complementing the coat collection is a highly functional line of neckwear. Dubbed the Noodle Boodle, it is a first-of-a-kind doggy winter neck coverup invented by the Company. The Noodle Boodle is a cozy warm turtleneck-style scarf that lacks the annoying scarf ends that untie easily and end up dragging along the cold wet ground during walks.
NoodleandFriends.com also offers stylish harnesses, collars, leads, personalized medallion enameled id tags, and toys sized just right for doxie mouths!
The Company’s affordable luxury collection will be primarily marketed online, with magazine and online advertising, public relations and event support.
