Curious Chef Kitchen Utensils for Kids
(Chicago, IL; February 20, 2009) Tailor Made Products, Inc., marking its 15th year in the housewares industry, will launch its first national brand when it unveils its Curious Chef line of uniquely designed kitchen utensils at the upcoming 2009 International Home & Housewares Show. Created for children ages 3+ to 10, the Curious Chef brand introduces a combination of functionality and fun for beginning cooks. Curious Chef can be seen at Booth # S2877 at the IHA Show, Chicago, March 22-24, 2009.
The Curious Chef line has over 100 items including categories of gadgets and utensils, mixing and measuring products, cutlery and cutting boards, cookie cutters as well as cooking apparel for adult and child. Examples of design features are rounded, soft-touch handles to fit small hands, plastic knives that can cut most foods but are safe for kids’ use, bright color coding for ease of use, and a unique finger guard on the pizza cutter.
Its introduction coincides with renewed interest in home-cooking in today’s economic climate. “People are foregoing restaurants and getting back into their kitchens,” said John Wilde, President of Tailor Made, “so our kid-friendly kitchen tools are getting a lot of buzz – and we haven’t even formally introduced them!
“Actually, we had been planning this for some time. We had not seen kitchen tools in the market for little hands – I’m not talking about toys but real utensils kids can use for cooking. We did a lot of research and are really excited about the results! With our Curious Chef line, kids can now bond with their parents in the kitchen and help the economy at the same time!”
