"Persona" Cover
The Protist announces the release of their new EP, titled Persona. Inspired by film scores and soundtracks, the music blends dark atmospherics with potent rhythms. The EP will be released on March 9th through digital retailers, iTunes and Amazon MP3.
Archipelago, the opening track sets the tone, with haunting vocal samples drenched in reverb. When the cinematic rollercoaster that is Glasswing enters the stage, it takes the listener on an intense ride, with it’s percussive builds and foreboding sound. The closing track, Shelf Cloud is a Downtempo number with a minimalist feel to it. Overall, the EP has a soundtrack-like presence, perfect to accompany an everyday routine and turn it into a living motion picture.
