The program is designed to generate new business for this small family owned studio and will also benefit area high schools seniors who are involved in the program.
In an effort to advertise their studio, Larissa Photography has started this new program geared toward the younger generation. Not only will they be giving out portrait sessions for free, but they'll also be giving out free prints and prizes to the ambassadors to reward them for each friend they send to the studio. "Seniors usually go wherever their friends are going. If we can get a few seniors in our studio, we're getting our foot in the door at local schools" says Larissa, the main photographer at Larissa Photography. It's beneficial for both parties. The studio gets new business and the seniors involved in the program get their sessions, prizes, and prints for free. It's a win-win situation.
With the ambassador program giving away free sessions, Larissa Photography wants to make sure the recipients will be good advertisement for the business. The marking director at Larissa Photography indicated "We're really looking for candidates with a lot of energy. School activities play a big part in the selection process too." The application process begins as the potential ambassador fills out on online application. Promising ambassadors are then called in for a face-to-face interview to get a better feel for the high schooler's personality and communication skills. The final selections are then made based on the results of the face-to-face interview.
If initial response to the program is any indication of the program's future success, then the studio can expect the upcoming senior season to be lucrative. In fact, Larissa Photography is expecting to get a 50% increase in the number of seniors photographed this year due to this program. Even with high expectations on the ambassador program, keeping things fun for the ambassadors is still at the top of their list.
