Popular poetry web blog features Artbrushed image gallery
Indianapolis, IND. –The photography of Mike Hall has helped make the poetry web blog. The World of Words by Elias Tobias, more popular with images which illustrate a few of the hundreds of poems featured on the blog. Now the Freeze Frame Gallery, the category which includes the illustrations, has expanded to a special art gallery.
Through the magic of technology and computers, The World of Words by Elias Tobias presents a portfolio of 30 Artbrushed images that originated as digital photographs by Mike Hall. Taken during the last 10 years, a select group of photos have been altered to look as if they were hand-painted or “artbrushed.”
The Artbrushed images can be seen as link on a static page on the blog, along with other viewing options on the right side of the page.Once on the page, the thumbnail images, with titles, can be easily enlarged by clicking on the image desired. A much larger original image will appear showing the detail of the Artbrushed technique. The entire image can be easily saved by right clicking on the photo as saved using the “save as” choice and the photo can be named for deposit on a hard drive or other personal storage device.
“Generally, there is no charge to use these photographs, meant to be printed and framed,” Tobias said. “I just want people to enjoy the photos just as others like reading the poetry. Like the other material from the web blog, the photos are copyrighted, so any publication would require proper credit or citation. Any large showing of these photos when admission is charged would require prior permission prior to public or private use.”

From September 8, 2008, when the World of Words registered with Blogtopsites, to January 30, 2009, there was a 3618 percent increase in unique visitors from 23,563 to 867,074. A 4494 percent increase in page views was shown from the same dates, beginning with 38,870 to 1,755,397 page views. Recently the 1 million daily unique visitor mark was passed with more than 2 million daily page views, according to http://www.blogtopsites.com/
In other new developments at The World of Words by Elias Tobias, the new category or book is being started this month, and it is called, A Cupful of Words. The name of this blog stresses word choice. This book will feature poems that a person can read and understand with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning before the day starts or in the evening when the tasks have ended and it is time to relax.
