Feb. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- (Los Angeles, CA) As seen on the Showtime Network Television aired documentary All of Us and in partnership with TruthAIDS founder Dr. Mehret Mandefro, author/poet/lyricist lily is utilizing her own creatively raw form of poetry to host a TruthCircle discussion in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday March 10th, in recognition of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS awareness day.

What is a TruthCircle?
A concept developed by the TruthAIDS1 organization, the TruthCircle is an opportunity for women to come together and openly discuss their experiences and feelings about themselves and their relationships. The ultimate goal of the TruthCircle is to empower women to make better life choices by offering the opportunity to learn and share life lessons. Through open and honest communication, the TruthCircle is a hands on approach to addressing issues that directly affect women, the population most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.

Why should I participant in a TruthCircle?
There is nothing more healing and cleansing then telling the truth. In a TruthCircle, the first rule is that what is discussed in the circle stays in the circle. This arrangement provides the unique opportunity for women to be heard, to offer and receive empowerment and truly reap the benefits of candid sisterhood. Participating in a TruthCircle at the very least provides enrichment and could very easily be life changing.

What should I bring?
An open mind and a willingness to focus on the things that unite us as women. The new TruthCircle tool, a poetry collection entitled girl Child (The Transition – In Poetic Form)2 by lily, is available for purchase at www.amazon.com. Limited supplies will be available for purchase on the evening of the TruthCircle. Writing utensils, paper and light refreshments will be provided.
