However, the new arrangements will enable the public to submit applications at several centres across the country, before and after their office hours, as well as on weekends. Now, with Empost’s user-friendly online visa application facility, anyone can apply for his/her visa right from the comfort of his/her home. By logging into the site’s online application system and registering with it, a user will get a valid login ID and password. He/she can see a list of different types of visas, passports and other applications from different embassies on the site. He/she can download these applications and apply for any desired service.

After successful application of the visa, the user’s passport is retained by the consular officer. Once the passport gets its visa placed inside, it’s delivered to Empost for distribution by courier. Then, Empost delivers it to the user at the given address.

The best thing for a user with Empost is that he/she can view the application status after he/she applies for the visa. By clicking on the Track your Application section, a user can track his/her status by simply filling up his File Reference Number and date of birth and clicking on the Show Status button.
