Valuations, LLC Announces New Hosted Business Valuation Software

Feb. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- Valuations, LLC a company founded to provide web based mergers and acquisitions advisory services, today announced new software to provide a comprehensive valuation of small to mid-sized businesses.  The new web based software is in beta testing at http://www.valuationsllc.com/.  The software joins a growing family of websites produced by the company, including comprehensive guides that covers major aspects of buying and selling businesses, a free valuation tool, an advisory service, a business broker locator, a mergers and acquisitions blog, and other properties.

The website allows a user to input information about a company from financial statements or tax returns and creates a pdf report that fully explains the valuation methodology.   To use the software a user must have access to at least one year of financial statements or tax returns.  The user must also be able to answer basic questions about the business.  Creating an appraisal takes approximately forty-five minute to one hour.  The process can be suspended and resumed.  The software also allows a user to return and update information without re-entering all of the information.

The software adjusts data to reflect the real world complexities involved in valuing a business, such as differences in accounting methods, non-market rate compensation of owners, transactions between related entities, and others.  This allows the software to perform a more accurate valuation and to give a smaller range of possible business values.

While the software is in beta it can be used without charge. Once the software testing is complete there will be a small monthly charge for usage.  Special plans ore available for CPA, brokers, and other professionals that wish to private label the application and add it to their own website.

The software was designed by experienced business brokers who have over 25 years combined experience as intermediaries.  Data is encrypted via SSL as it is sent to the site and a company name is not required to perform a valuation.
