Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is gaining more and more professional support as a mainstream Rosacea treatment process. A variety of lasers and lights have been used for treating vascular skin lesions for years, however a study by the Department of Laser Therapy, Medical Centre Maastricht, has found IPL to be an effective technology for treating such conditions.
Based on 60 patients, the study found IPL treatments of facial Rosacea is effective in obtaining clearance of 77.8%, with minimal side effects, and that treatment effects are maintained in the long term.
