Connecticut drivers got a little bad news last week regarding tolls returning to the state's highways. "It's just a matter of time before highway tolls return to Connecticut for the first time in nearly a quarter century, the co-chairmen of the legislative Transportation Committee agreed Monday." reported the Connecticut Post last week. The tollbooths were removed in 1985 when Gov. William A. O'Neill removed them, "following a January 1983 crash at the Stratford toll plaza on Interstate 95, when an out-of-control tractor-trailer plowed into a line of cars, killing seven people." Connecticut is considering EZ Pass-type tolls at the borders of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York which could help provide revenue for statewide highway and railroad improvements.
However, drivers can take a little bit of the pain away, even before the tolls return to Connecticut's highways by getting an EZ Pass holder with a Pro Sport team logo of their choice from LogoTollTags.com. LogoTollTags.com has made the NY Giants, NY Mets, NY Rangers, NY Jets and NY Yankee logos available. The holders attach to the inside of the car's windshield and the EZ Pass transponder simply attaches to the back of the holder. The logos show through to the outside of the car and cover up that ugly white spot. LogoTollTags.com also offer additional team logos from the NFL, MLB, NHL, NASCAR and NCAA!
