CARY, NC – For the fourth consecutive year, Dr. Allan Acton and Cary Family Dental, as part of the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life campaign, will be offering teeth whitening services at a significantly reduced price, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to help children facing serious health and educational problems in communities throughout North America. The program begins in March and lasts through June.
“The teeth whitening procedure is quick and painless, with excellent results,” explains Dr. Acton, a Crown Council dentist. “Most importantly, a few minutes in the chair can make an incredible impact on someone in great need.”
Through a unique partnership with legendary entertainer Garth Brooks and his Teammates For Kids Foundation, Smiles For Life guarantees that a full 50 percent of the money raised by Crown Council members goes to children’s charities in communities across North America. The remaining 50 percent is contributed to a local charity. This year, Dr. Acton and Cary Family Dental are hoping to raise $20,000. The office is especially motivated to reach their goal this year.
“I promised I’d shave my head,” says Dr. Acton. Cary Family Dental is co-sponsoring the Cary Smile Makeover with Cary Magazine this year, and Dr. Acton’s only condition was that if Cary Family Dental met their $20,000 goal, that his shave would come after the makeover photo shoot.
The Smiles for Life Foundation is the children’s charity organization of the Crown Council, an organization of leading-edge dentists throughout North America. Each year, over a four-month period, Crown Council dentists participating in the Smiles for Life campaign offer professional teeth whitening services at a considerably reduced price and donate 100 percent of the proceeds to children’s charities. The Crown Council’s Smiles for Life Foundation has raised more than $22 million since 1998, benefiting nearly 500 children’s charities across North America. Since joining the campaign, Dr. Acton and Cary Family Dental have raised over $32,000.
