Wishcraft has announced its plans for a Craft & Theater Camp for 5-12 year-olds during the 2009 Spring Break (4/6/2009-4/
10/2009 & 4/13/2009-4/
17/2009). The camp will run 9am-3pm and will conclude with a performance for families and friends at the workshop. Campers will develop characters and a script, design costumes, construct sets and props and play improv games. Weather permitting, the activity will take place both indoors and outdoors in their own backyard. The camp will include the practice of leadership and DIY skills, as well as an educational overview of theater terms and concepts.
Camp leaders at Wishcraft include actors with BFA degrees in theater and art, and all leaders have experience with teaching children in classes or camps.
The cost is $350 for each 5-day session, and after-camp care is available 3pm-5pm for $50/week.
