PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 24, 2009 -
There is a new generation of business leaders that are updating their business philosophy to include a component linked to community - to “social cause”. That’s right, business concepts that consider humanity and community needs. What is amazing is this new breed of business leaders, from both small and large business structures, are gaining ground from and with the generations of leaders that precede them. Why? Because, designing an element of social cause into your business makes sense for business and for quality of life.
Incorporating social cause into your business can be achieved at many levels. It may be volunteering your time at a local charity and allowing employees to volunteer their time as well. It may be sponsoring a charity event a non-profit is organizing to fulfill their mission. It might be joining forces with a non-profit to establish an earned income service that benefits the non-profit while also allowing your business expertise and resources to flourish. It also may include establishing an endowment, through your business or personally, for a specific cause or area of need you are passionate about.
The local Community Foundation is here to help you explore ways to get involved as a “social entrepreneur”. The Community Foundation of Greater Butler County, a 501 (c) (3), public charity, is a resource for helping you as an individual or as a business explore ways to give that make a lasting impact, right here in Butler County.
The Community Foundation of Greater Butler County is dedicated to assisting donors in building a permanent pool of assets for the people, organizations and causes in Butler County. Presently the Foundation manages 30 funds; they encompass specific funds for non-profit agencies, areas of interest (i.e. arts, leadership, animal rescue, literacy), and scholarships. The Foundation is also growing a general fund that provides flexibility to respond to the needs as they change over the years here in Butler County.

Please visit our website at www.communityfoundationgbc.org to learn more about the Foundation. If you are ready to incorporate social cause into your business, call Angie Baur, CEO/President of the Community Foundation of Greater Butler County at 316-239-9451. Call Today – Change Tomorrow!
