Quasar HD-LED unveiled at Arab Health 2009

Feb. 24, 2009 - PRLog -- Quasar HD-LED produces the biggest, fattest, most powerful light beam of any surgical light. The intense light is spread evenly across the illuminated field to create a stunningly uniform working area, with high intensity across the full diameter of the light field, not just in the middle.
   
Through incorporating the innovative, award winning HD-LED technology Brandon Medical present the first surgical light system to achieve near perfect colour rendition across the full range of colours visible to the human eye.  The natural white light makes all colours vivid and vibrant making it easy to distinguish small differences in tissue.  Such accurate colour rendition makes the light do the work rather than the human eye.

Brandon Medical has paid particular attention to the way that Quasar illuminates red tissue.  The human eye has a natural weakness in distinguishing shades of red which is a particular problem for Surgeons dealing predominantly with red tissue.  HD-LED provides the highest R9 red colour rendition of any product to provide the optimum visualisation of red tissues.

The unique “Red Balance Control” developed by Brandon Medical is also incorporated into Quasar HD-LED.  This allows the Surgeon to alter the percentage of visible red light in the light field.  The Surgeon can adjust the light for the best differentiation of red tissues and to “tune-in” the light to match the optical colour response of his own eyes.

With such care taken to provide a perfect light distribution, colour rendition and optimising the red balance of the light, Quasar HD-LED is a big leap forward in the quality of surgical light.  The quality of the light is so good, that the exceptionally high levels of illumination traditionally required of operating lights are no longer needed.  The Surgeon can use reduced levels of intensity and still see better, both of which reduce eye strain.
