The virtual world of Second Life has a vivid ART scene that is ever evolving as new technology adds it's weight. Melbourne artist Joni Kamaru has reflected on her fairy inspired artworks and came up with the idea to add a touch of audio to heighten the immersive atmoshere. Her artworks showing Melbourne Garden Fairies at Talmidahs ART Complex now have the sweet fairy voice of 'Lil' Pippa'. http://slurl.com/
There are many ways to play with AUDIO in the virtual world - but most rely on 10 second audio tracks. Joni made her audio clips with a freeware software programme called AUDACITY. By playing around with the controls Joni created a 'Fairy Voice' which she uses exclusively for this Show. You can hear the AUDIO by RIGHT CLICKING on the artworks.
These virtual artworks are made from a painting which was created with ARCHIspray technique - that is Architectural Tints and Spray Enamel - and treated to a graphics programme to get special visual effects. Joni uses PICNIK for all her graphic projects.
Uploaded SOUND and treated TEXTURE files in Second Life can be used for many purposes and 'Talking Signs' are another virtual service Joni is able to offer to businesses.
There are many other kinds of artists who could benefit from using VIRTUAL AUDIO and Joni is looking for persons wanting to publish and sell their sounds online and virtual. http://www.EVOrecords.webs.com Register your interest - wanted: AUDIO artists who have audio work internationally Licensed or who are wanting to acheive this. She makes POSTER and CD Cover ART also.
"There are already several well fitted out music sale ventures on Second Life' says Joni. "I don't need to waste my efforts apeing their efforts, I don't see them as a threat to our audio business asperations at all. Our interests lay within the business sector - ultimately training and education. For now, the market looks interesting for vocal entertainers on Second Life. There is a growing interest in acting, narrating as well as other forms of popular entertainment in virtual venues..".
