Swank Chiropractic Sports Medicine & Wellness Center Introduces AquaMed

In addition to chiropractic treatment patients receive dry hydrotherapy to help relieve and soothe muscle pain

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 23, 2009 -
Cary, NC-Swank Chiropractic offers AquaMed, a dry hydrotherapy modality, to our patients due to its therapeutic value to those suffering from back and neck pain.  AquaMed Dry Hydrotherapy combines “water, heat, and massage” as well as a customizable setting for varying pressures, time adjustments, and speed intervals to fit every patients’ need.
Approximately two to three weeks into a patient’s treatment we will switch them from cryotherapy(ice) application to heat allowing for increased circulation to the muscles.  By complementing the heat with a therapeutic massage feature in the system, patients will experience a reduction in muscle spasm and discomfort.  This system also promotes a healthy musculoskeletal system in that it increases range of motion and oxygen perfusion of the tissue; thereby reducing muscular toxins and metabolites.  The benefits to receiving dry hydrotherapy along with chiropractic, is the individualized attention you’ll receive to your spine and the surrounding soft tissue.
By tackling both areas of concern-spinal subluxations and muscle tension, patients quickly get back to a healthy lifestyle.
