Washington DC Area 8(a) IT Firm Works with Children's Non-Profit to Give Back to the Community

NucoreVision, Inc. an 8(a) IT solutions firm has formed NucoreVision, Inc. Cares for Community and is working with Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children, Prince George's County to help foster children of Prince George's Co. Maryland.

March 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Washington DC/Lanham MD – NucoreVision, Inc.  is pleased to announce the launch of NucoreVision, Cares for Community, the company's charitable giving arm which was formed by NucoreVision, Inc. employees committed to giving back to the community.  

"Our their employees recognize the importance of giving back to the communities in which we live and conduct business by working toward the betterment of others," said, Ted Fells, NucoreVision, Inc. President and CEO.  "The importance of providing support for the future growth and development of those communities is immeasurable."

The NucoreVision, Inc. Cares for Community launch began with a successful “Prepare to Learn” school supply drive and networking event.  The collected supplies were distributed to Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children, Prince George’s County (CASA/PG) and Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School located in S.E., Washington, D.C.’s Ward 8.

CASA PG Executive Director, Ann Marie Binsner stated, “Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children Prince George’s County is incredibly grateful to be a partner of NucoreVision Cares for Community and hopes to continue to develop this partnership.”

“Our networking events will focus on promoting visibility to organizations whose mission is in alliance with NVI-CFC," Fells also stated.  "No child should be unprepared to learn."

To complete the busy weekend, NVI-CFC participants came together early on Saturday, August 23rd to spruce up Martin Luther King Elementary School in Washington, DC’s Ward 8 community for the city’s annual DCPS Beautification Day.  NVI employee’s worked alongside other organizations and community groups to paint, landscape, and clean the school grounds of debris to prepare for the first day of school.  

Team NVI-CFC participant, NucoreVision, Inc. Vice President, Operations Tracee Thompson-Sanders said, “Knowing that children may feel a sense of pride when attending a school with clean grounds and as result may perform better academically is the reason that I wanted to be a part of this important event.”
