Feb 21, 2009 – Company Director Voted Champion
The Shropshire Star has been running an award programme called “Telford Champion”. The aim is for residents throughout Telford and Wrekin to nominate 40 Telford Champions to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Borough. We are proud to announce that John Franklyn – Director of Telford First was nominated and warded “Telford Champion” John Franklyn said “It is an honour for anyone to be nominated and often the nominations are made by a wide range of people for a wide range of reasons. To receive such an award is a true honour. I may never know who nominated me or why, but I do know it would not have been possible without the support of many people I have come to respect for a wide range of reasons.” John Franklyn was nominated as Telford champion for his work in the community. As a Company Director, John Franklyn believes that business and community needs go hand in hand and takes great pride in supporting residents in many ways throughout many communities. Telford First on Telford First We would like to thank everyone who has contacted us over the last couple of weeks. We have had the great pleasure of speaking with many people who have enquired about our services. Telford First closely monitor current affairs and closely monitor issues as they affect residents throughout the borough of Telford and Wrekin. It is obvious that the current financial climate is making it hard for everyone. Council tax will increase in the next financial year by at least 2.5%. Jobs are in short supply and the cost of living seems to be increasing faster than ever. These are just some of the factors that are affecting us, the boom period is over and the bust season has well and truly started. Telford First has recognised this and is proud to say that we have been proactive and responded accordingly. This response has been reflected in our service price with Senior Citizens, Disabled Residents and families in receipt of benefits qualifying for a reduced hourly of just £5 per hour and our special offer of just £7.50 for everyone if they use our services before June 30th 2009. We pride ourselves on the fact that we put our customers first and have led the way in providing quality and affordable services during economic downturn.
