Road-Guard makes Fuel Efficiency and Environmental Protection part of your lifestyle

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 21, 2009 -
Tel Aviv, Israel. Road-Guard, a pioneer of horizon predictive driver attention solutions, announced today that its GreenDrive™ smart eco-driving solution was selected as a Grand Prize Winner at the Forum Nokia Calling All Innovators Award Ceremony during the annual GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, among nearly 1,000 developers from 57 countries who competed in Eco-Challenge, Emerging Markets and Technology Showcase categories with mobile applications designed to contribute toward building a better world.

GreenDrive is a winner, among applications or solutions aimed to minimize mobility’s global environmental impact and enable consumers to make sustainable lifestyle choices that reduce their energy consumption and carbon footprint.

GreenDrive helps drivers to save on fuel costs, increase car’s mileage per gallon by 15 to 25%, while making significant contribution to environmental protection, by producing less carbon dioxide, the main gas contributing to global climate change. GreenDrive is based on Road-Guard’s patent-pending Horizon Prediction technology that relates to individual vehicle parameters and "senses" the nature and significance of approaching road attributes that influence fuel consumption, providing drivers with real-time advisory on the most economical driving performance.

"Having our GreenDrive application selected as a Grand Prize Winner by Nokia among nearly 1,000 developers from 57 countries validates that that our technology has broad-based appeal for the benefits it provides and we have achieved our goal of creating a revolutionary solution for drivers making fuel efficiency and environmental protection part of their lifestyle," said Alex Ackerman, CEO of Road-Guard.

Rob Taylor, Director of Forum Nokia said “The high caliber of winners in the first iteration of Calling All Innovators underscores the remarkable, ongoing creativity and innovation that currently defines the mobile developer community around the globe”
