Switchin.net, a 3d game online chat site popular with over 1.6 million unique visits a month has gathered the results of its latest poll voted by its users. Virtual Pets was decided the next game feature to be added. It was the clear winner with over 48% of the vote cast consisting of over 10 thousand votes.

While work on this upcoming feature will take a few weeks Switchin.net is confident they will have Virtual Pets ready as a complete game element by March 2009. Meanwhile a user voting poll is already underway to decide which virtual pet is the first to be adopted. You can vote from a choice of 4 animals on the main page of Switchin.net .
The addition of Virtual Pets is coming simultaneously with the addition of a fully editable 3d room organizer similar to those found in the Sims or Habbo Hotel. Cited as a long over due game feature the room organizer will give its players more flexibility in designer their virtual spaces.
