Bill Bartmann Interview Series – Part 8 – Bill Bartmann says to Overcome Insecurity

Bill Bartmann discusses the reasons for insecurity and how to overcome them to build self-esteem and self-confidence

Feb. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Tulsa, OK – Bill Bartmann continues his interview series discussing self-development as being crucial to success in life and in businesses.  During this segment of the interview series, Bartmann discussed insecurity.  Bill Bartmann said, “Feelings of insecurity are a threat to your self-esteem and self-confidence which is vital to your happiness and success in life.  There are many reasons one may feel insecure, including relationship and social problems, job and money problems, fear of challenge and depression, just to name a few.”

Bill Bartmann said the worst thing one can do is to brood over the problem which will not make it go away.  He talked about fear of negative outcome, self-doubt and inability to cope, which makes one avoid a situation that needs to be confronted.

Bill Bartmann has experienced his share of challenges that would cause most people to feel very insecure.  Bill Bartmann left home at the age of 14, joined a street gang, got rejected by the Marines and joined a traveling carnival.  At the age of 17, he was injured and told he would never walk again.  Five months later, he walked out of the hospital.  Bill Bartmann obtained his high school equivalency, graduated from college, and eventually became a billionaire.

“Sometimes you need a negative motivator to build your self-esteem,” Bartmann says. He explains that if you have a positive self-image, you can separate specific failures from who you really are. “Any failure can be overcome if you don’t over-generalize it,” he says. “You have to see it as something that happened to you. It doesn’t determine your real value. The main cause of failure is the inability to deal with self-doubt.”

As this segment of the interview concluded, Bill Bartmann said, “Everyone has fears; the world is filled with worries causing insecurity.  Talking with others can help put your fears into perspective; you may even find that they are unfounded.  Confront and discuss relationship and social problems; if you have money problems, look at your spending habits; if you’re not happy with your career, see what is available; maybe it’s time for a change.”

“Whatever the cause of your insecurity, it needs to be dealt with.  It’s OK to ask for help; many need the assistance of professional counseling to overcome their fears and feelings of insecurity.”

Bill Bartmann is the ultimate underdog/survivor/achiever, overcoming personal circumstances and tragedy to rise to the top enterprise in America. Homeless at age 14, a member of a street gang and a high-school dropout - Bill took control of his life by taking the GED exam and putting himself through college and law school.  Bill Bartmann’s Billionaire Business system has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs reach their goals.  To learn more, visit http://www.billionaireu.com/
