Announcing the W3P “Save the Human Race” Convention, Portland, Oregon July 2009
To coincide with the G8 World Leadership meeting, the World Peace Political Party (W3P.info) will have its annual convention near Portland Oregon in July of this year. The theme of this year’s convention is “Save the Human Race”. There will be speaker sessions followed by smaller workshops focusing on the world economy; poverty, hunger, and diseases; the environment and globe climate changes; war and terrorism; the proposal for the creation of the Untied Free Nations Organization (UFNO.org); and the efforts of the W3P political party to make global political changes.
The site location is being arranged and attendance will probably be limited to around 5,000 persons. There will be priority registration for W3P party members and their guests, and a limited number of registrations reserved for members of the press, and acclaimed journalists. Pre session workshops will begin on July 3rd, with the convention kickoff dinner session that evening. A short morning speaker session will start at 9 am on Saturday followed by workshops, another short after lunch session followed by afternoon workshop, and an informal dinner/dance for that evening. Sunday’s morning session will start at 11 am followed by lunch/workshops. A final summary session will be held at 3pm on Sunday with the convention ending around 5pm. Of course these plans are subject to change by the event leadership.
Remember World Peace will not happen until there are Worldwide Laws against war and terrorism and a World Police Force capable of enforcing those laws. The United Nations is hamstrung by status quo politics and the veto power of any standing member of the Security Council. Therefore the United Nations needs to be changed (not likely) or the proposed new United Free Nations Organization established. And it will be a requirement for the nations and representatives of the major religions of the world when applying for UFNO membership, to adopt as worldwide laws, the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) as amended from time to time by the UFNO Congress. Once UFNO has been established and the HBRL made into Worldwide Law, the armies of the UFNO member nations will be combined into a UFNO Police Force. It will then be the responsibility of this UFNO Police Force, by standing orders, to enforce the Worldwide Laws against War and Terrorism. And since it is vital to recognize the need for national security of each member nation, each nation will be allowed to maintain a nation police force with this police force armed only for self defense. The UFNO Security Council may, by 2/3 majority vote with no veto powers, may also order the UFNO Police Force to combat the International distribution of illegal drugs and slavery. Representatives of non-UFNO nations will be allowed to attend UFNO general sessions but will not be allowed to attend UFNO Security Council meetings or nor have the right to vote.
By allowing nations, representatives of major world religious groups, and representatives of recognized Not-For-Profit Organizations (with minimum number of members required), to become members of UFNO, dialog regarding solving the problems of the world, such as war, terrorism, illegal drug distribution, slavery, hunger, poverty, diseases etc can collectively happen! And more important to the longer term survival of the human race, ways that we can live in harmony together can be established!
