Paulo Thiago brought a whole team with him from Brazil to help him in his fight with Josh Koscheck at UFC 95 in London. Thiago is managed by the legendary Wallid Ismail and is being sponsored by MMA apparel company, Basthardt.
With him are Head coach and 4th degree jiu-jitsu black belt Ataide Junior, who has been with Paulo for 15 years, Claudio Moreira (take down and ground specialist), Alex Nacfur (sparring partner), Luis “Lula” Eduardo (conditioning trainer). Rodrigo Aguiar (Muay Thai) is also part of the team but did not make the trip. They all have varying specialties, but work together to share their experience.
They will not share what their strategy will be against Josh Koscheck at UFC 95, but have said they have watched extensive film on him and will be ready.
Management from Thiago’s sponsor, MMA apparel company Basthardt, were seen chatting with Wanderlei Silva at the scheduled UFC press conference. No word on what they were chatting about.
