Feb 18, 2009 – Opus Interactive, a leading managed services provider of professional hosting solutions, today announced it has joined the EPA’s Green Power Partnership Program.
The Green Power Partnership is a voluntary program that encourages organizations to buy green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with purchased electricity use. The Partnership currently has hundreds of Partner organizations voluntarily purchasing billions of kilowatt-hours of green power annually.
“Data Centers traditionally use a lot of electricity to cool the technology within,” said Chuck Swanson, Vice President of Marketing at Opus Interactive. “We took it upon ourselves to invest in clean electricity solutions, such as PGE’s Renewable Power Program, to offset the impact that our solutions have on the environment. Currently 100% of our electricity comes from clean, wind technology.”
The Green Power Program commits Opus Interactive to continue their best practices for sustainability, best practices that include not only electricity, but advanced cooling technologies, and the very hosting solutions they provide their customers.
