Retech Enters European Remelt Market With 6 Tonne Var At Cezus

Retech Systems LLC (Ukiah, CA) announces the commissioning of a new Vacuum Arc Remelting furnace at AREVA CEZUS (Ugine, France). The Retech VAR Furnace is able to triple melt ingots of titanium to 910 mm and ingots of zirconium and hafnium greater than 6 tonnes.  The furnace was manufactured in Europe, to strict EU standards by Retech’s Strategic Alliance Partner SECO/WARWICK S.A. (Swiebodzin, Poland), and is equipped with many state of the art features, such as 37KA reverse polarity melt capability for special grades materials requiring low melt rates, advanced PLC-based melt controls, axial X-Y correction, ultra-high accuracy weigh system, and the very latest in operator safety devices.  The commissioning highlights a successful EU partnership between Cezus, Retech and SECO/WARWICK SA for the supply of premium grade reactive metals.
