Taking advantage of what may not have been a robust holiday shopping season for all
merchants, the sales at online retailer 1staudiovisual experienced a significant rise in the final three months of last year.
Unlike many retailers (both online and high street), 1staudiovisual has not yet experienced the cutback in spending that has beset many consumers, and it is clear that their approach to competitive pricing is the key to their success. In the current uncertain economic climate, a number of competitors have already closed their doors and have had to make the difficult decision in dismissing redundant staffing. Working through these troubled times, 1staudiovisual has identified areas of growth and have actually increased their staff to maximise these opportunities to move forward in forming part of their global expansion.
1staudiovisual stated that it would continue to offer low prices and free shipping deals to encourage budget-conscious shoppers. The shopping experience offered by 1staudiovisual will open opportunities into new market areas during the course of this year.
Without doubt, expectations are for sales to continue to rise in 2009.
"It would appear that we dominated a lot of the market share and therefore made substantial gains," said Dennis Ogilvie, Owner and Managing Director of 1staudiovisual. "The good thing is that we did not have to offer discounts to the extent that people feared was necessary to achieve this."
At its conception, 1staudiovisual primarily targeted the television market, but now distributes products in a number of categories including gifts and gadgets, with further developments on the very near horizon.
