We Nine Oversee the World!

The title of this article is a pretense use of the word “Oversee the World” as the proposed United Free Nations Organization has not yet been adopted. The context of this article exams part of this proposal and will probably be subjected to many changes and much International discussions. A message has been directed to world leaders attending the G8 annual convention in Italy this coming July 2009. Hopefully these leaders will finally address the topic of World Peace Thru World Law as without worldwide laws against war and terrorism there will never be Peace On Earth!

In the proposed plan for the Untied Free Nations Organization (UFNO.org), there are nine members of the Security Council of UFNO. These Security Council members are nominated by the UFNO House of Representatives then elected by the UFNO Senate by 2/3rd majority vote. Each Security Council member serves ten year terms. When elected, each Security Council member no longer represents or serves the nations where they were born or their religions, but the concept of World Peace Thru World Law. Therefore the focus of the Security Council is directing the UFNO Police Force to carry out the world wide laws against war and terrorism created by the UFNO Congress.  Decisions of the Security Council is by 2/3rd majority vote with no vetoes.

The UFNO Police Force is the combined armies of all the UFNO Nations. By the UFNO Bill Of Rights, member nations can only maintain national police forces however these police forces are not permitted to cross their own national boundaries. The UFNO Police Force has standing orders to intervene should any member nation’s police force cross its own national boundaries.

The UFNO Senate consists of 1 member from each UFNO member nation, 1 member of each segment of the world religions with members of at least 1,000,000, and 5 (or 6 to make the total an odd number) members elected at large. Each UNFO Senator servers for a period of 8 years.
The UFNO House of Representatives consists of 1 member for each 5,000,000 population per nation, 1 member per each segment of the world religions for each 2,000,000 members, and 15 (or 16 to make the total an odd number) members elected at large. Each UNFO Representative servers for a period of 6 years.

Elections for open UFNO Senate and UFNO House memberships are held on April 20th (Earth Day) of the odd number years. The number of members to the UFNO Senate and UFNO House, the number of years members serve, the timing of elections etc are all subject to review and change by the UFNO Congress. The responsibility of the UFNO Congress is to create worldwide laws against war and terrorism and a plan for reducing the number of weapons of war that each member nation maintains.
There is also a UFNO World Court consisting of 15 Justices who serve for life, nominated by the UFNO House and elected by the UFNO Senate. The UFNO World Court rules on the worldwide points of laws created by the UFNO Congress.

For a nation or religion to be recognized by the Untied Free Nations Organization, that nation or religion must subscribe to the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) as amended from time to time by the UFNO Congress. These Human Rights shall apply to all people of the Earth. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights for more information about Human Rights.

A new political party, The World Peace Political Party has been created along with a web site,  discussion groups, and the ability to have online polls taken, and decisions made. Your participation is welcomed!
