Trigger Points Could Be Holding You Back from Reaching Your Fitness Goals

Surrey Kinesiologist, Rick Kaselj, is hosting a course for fitness & rehabilitation professionals on how trigger points could be holding their clients back from reaching their health, fitness, rehabilitation and sports goals.

Surrey, BC – February 17, 2009 - Trigger points affect muscles in the sedentary or athletic body by causing pain or decreasing performance. The Understanding Trigger Points to Overcome Pain workshop covers myofascial trigger points and how they play a role in pain and performance.

Fitness and rehabilitation professionals are educated about how muscles relate to exercise, but there are times when fitness & rehabilitation professionals may be puzzled about why a client is not progressing.

They may ask:

-   “Why is this person in pain”?
-   “Why are they not building muscle”?
-   “Why are things getting worse instead of better”?

Sometimes the problem simply does not fit the typical exercise model. Myofascial trigger points may be to blame. It is important for fitness & rehabilitation professionals to understand trigger points and how they can lead to pain or decreased performance.

Rick Kaselj of Healing Through Movement will be hosting William N. Huhn.  Mr. Huhn will be facilitating the Understanding Trigger Points to Overcome Pain workshop, which addresses about the issue of trigger points and how to help your clients over come them and reach their fitness and rehabilitation goals.
