Clothing design house Untitled 11:11 announced today that artist Jill Lear has created prints for the 2009 Fall Collection. The design duo of David Peck and Laurel Anderson were first inspired by Jill Lear’s drawings and paintings at a private showing of the artist’s work last year. The graphic line work and organic nature of Lear’s subject matter are a natural fit for the eco-conscious fashion line.
Untitled 11:11 has teamed up with celebrity stylist and her company It Girl LLC to produce the 2009 Fall Collection. The sophomore presentation of the clothing line will be revealed on February 18th, 2009 at Pink Elephant during New York’s Fashion Week. The line mixes European high fashion influences and American sensibilities with a healthy dose of humor.
Untitled 11:11 is the combined effort of designers David Peck and Laurel Anderson. Pioneers at integrating the values of ethical and environmentally responsible business practices into a fashion design house, Untitled 11:11 has followed “green” best practices from inception. Customers benefit from the peace of mind of knowing that all lines are made using Fair-Trade, eco-friendly, and American products whenever possible.
David and Laurel met in Paris, where they both majored in fashion design at Parsons Paris School of Art and Design and gained experience at fashion houses Junichi Hakamaki and Paco Rabanne, under Patrick Robinson.
After receiving the coveted Designer of the Year Award, David joined Robert Normand, a rising star in the indie French fashion world. David recruited Laurel to collaborate on two of Normand’s collections, further cementing their friendship and initiating their professional partnership. Laurel subsequently worked at Kai Kühne before reuniting with David in New York to create design house Untitled 11:11.
