PFATS, which holds their annual meeting in conjunction with the NFL Combine event, is convening this week in Indianapolis. The inventors of Hüppo will be there to showcase the product that every professional athlete will come to depend on: a time-release powder pocket.
Powder has been used for decades to combat moisture which can lead to chafing, jock itch and other uncomfortable situations. However, after a short time, it’s gone – either used up or worn off. Darrell Littleton, CEO of Item X Innovations, has come up with a simple yet ingenious solution. It’s called the Hüppo Powder Pocket and once inserted into the fly pocket of men’s underwear, the cup pocket of a jock strap or compression shorts, it releases moisture-absorbing powder over an extended period of time. The more a man moves, the more powder is released, making it great for everyday use, on the field, golf course or any other time guys sweat.
“For guys, sweating and chafing in the groin area is a fact, especially for guys in the NFL,” said Mark Van Iwaarden, co-founder of Hüppo. “But it’s not only the 350-pound linemen with the problem. Every man who sweats understands the discomfort of chafing and we offer an excellent solution.”
