Granprenuer takes Bob the Builder to the EU

A Warwickshire grandmother is enjoying sell-out success from a novel piece of cushioned head gear designed to protect 480,000 accident-prone toddlers when they fall over every year.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 17, 2009 -
As a mother, and despite dealing not only with ill health but also a lack of financial support, frustration drove the ambitious grandmother-of-seven to seek help from the internet after years of having to look on helplessly while her grandchildren tumbled or banged their heads - risking a trip to A&E along the way.

She has already sold out of some of her lines and had recently launched Babynobumps at the prestigious Earl’s Court Baby Show.
It was difficult trying to establish my presence at Earls Court where I was up against Mothercare and Fisher Price and other well-known brands,  but there was a positive response from the visitors to the show

Even the most careful parents will admit that bumps and bruises are a part of a child learning to sit up, crawl and  walk.
We are hoping to soften these blows and to give parents greater peace of mind.
Of course, parents must still take all the same steps to ensure a safe environment for their child; however the head protector is an additional safety item – even if it is just used around the home

Babynobumps has been successfully sold across the United States, Canada, Australia and the Far East.

Her business mentor and advisor, Ruth Badger (from The Apprentice) : “This is a perfect example of spotting a gap in the market and capitalising on that.
Her website is proving very popular and we sincerely hope the orders continue to flood in.
We are now looking forward to introducing the product to the European market.
And it is also important that she has the endorsement of her GP.

Safety and fashion-conscious parents can take their pick from a range of  eye-catching designs from Bob the Builder, to ‘Twinkle’ – there are lots of different designs for both boys and girls and new designs are constantly arriving.

Babynobumps comes in one-size-and can be used on youngsters up until the age of four.

They are ideally used for babies and young children when they are learning to sit up, crawl and walk – (babies always lead with their heads so are vulnerable to head
injuries) – but they can also  wear them traveling in the car, at play, in baby bouncers, in fact, anywhere where there is a chance of head injury.
They’re so comfortable they often forget they’re even wearing them,” Susan continued”.

“Unintentional injury is the leading cause of childhood disability – and can sometimes results in death. With over half a million children taken to hospital with accidental injuries each year, the financial cost to tax payers is high.

“We also need to bear in mind many households have wooden flooring and block paving back gardens, which could increase the potential for an accident or injury to the head of a child”.

She concluded: “I’m just pleased I’ve been able to do something positive and  provide something to help protect infants,  as young children’s skulls are so vulnerable - and with my own children I used to worry about the long-term effects of head injuries, so it’s paramount to protect them from potential bumps. Of course no one  can protect their children from everything or foresee all the possible dangers they may face, but with a little child safety planning we can protect them from a lot. My youngest grandchild is still a toddler and the Baby No Bumps hats have saved him from many bumps and bruises.

I started this business of being medically retired after 15 years from my place of employmnet.
Babynobumps was conceived after research indicated that too many babies and young children go to hospital as a result of an accident, and also my desire to do something positive with my life whilst helping others
