Feb. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Dr. Ean Stromberg, Professor of Archeology, has spent a lifetime studying Mayan culture trying to understand how a civilization seemingly disappeared almost one thousand years ago.  How did a once flourishing culture of advanced people simply vanish into thin air?  Stromberg’s obsession leads him down a dark and horrifying trail of clues.

Stromberg begins to believe he’ll never find the answer until, on the verge of retirement, he discovers a faded photograph of a wall painting taken in a Mayan tomb.  The image, reflecting agony and death, has a hidden map within its illustration and Stromberg travels to El Mirador, a two thousand-year-old city deep in the Guatemalan jungle.

What he finds is beyond comprehension and unleashes an evil so powerful that its malevolence threatens to take his life and the world around him.

Martin’s disturbing mix of fact and fiction surrounding a centuries-old mystery is a chilling depiction of what if’s and has a wicked ending that shocks and surprises.
