SNACKS FOR THE TROOPS PROGRAM
SOLDIERS IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN CAN LOOK
FORWARD TO SOME DELICIOUS SNACKS
MEDFORD, OR. February 4, 2009---Troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan will soon be able to look forward to some delicious Harry & David snacks in their USO Care Packages.
Starting February 4, 2009, each one of the 143 Harry & David stores nationally will have a special drop off container, where customers can deposit Harry & David snacks they have purchased. Harry & David, in partnership with the USO, will forward a package of the snack to troops stationed in Iraq and in Afghanistan.
“Harry & David has a long and proud history of supporting our troops who are in harms way. Now customers in any of our stores can join us in sending delicious snacks to the troops,” said Bill Williams, President/CEO of Harry & David. He went on to say, “We are proud to partner with the USO in this generous program that will provide these much loved treats to our men and women in uniform.”

Harry & David snack items that can be accepted for gifts to our troops include all bagged non-chocolate snacks, all jerky products, bagged nut selections and trail mixes.
The Harry & David gift program for the troops starts February 4, 2009 and will run until March 22, 2009. The program is available at all of the 143 Harry & David stores. Customers are invited to locate the store nearest them at harryanddavid.com.
