The GMSI Ocean is a server line that takes full advantage of GMSI's Salgix operating system for the HPVC market. Embedded in the GMSI Ocean units is NVIDIA Tesla technology that is currently being used by the budding GPU-based Cuda development segment of application development, in which hardware that is generally idle when not used by displaying graphics on screen is instead used by applications specifically designed to use its focused processing power for general usage. Leveraging this new GPU technology and its native support from Salgix, GMSI is offering an advanced solution to customers seeking powerful machinery for intense numerical computations and other visualization applications.
