February 15, 2009 – Wilmington, NC – QuickTrainer, Inc. has achieved a level of credentials from Intuit, the developers of QuickBooks accounting software. Jim Merritt, President and CEO of QuickTrainer successfully passed the Certified QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor exam earlier this week.

As of this release, Merritt is the first in the Wilmington area to achieve this level of certification, with the closest Advanced level certification being some 70+ miles away.

This QuickBooks Certification is designed to deepen the expertise of ProAdvisors who are already knowledgeable in QuickBooks, and distinguish these “QuickBooks experts” as highly proficient in this field. To qualify for this advanced certification, you must have successfully completed 2007, 2008 and 2009 QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification Courses.

“This certification brutally tests your knowledge and abilities in the areas of Reporting, Payroll, Troubleshooting, Setup and Import/Export, Job Costing and Integration with Third Party Applications,” said Jim Merritt, the local QuickBooks guru. “I am extremely pleased with this achievement. The exam was hard work and took me ~22 hours from start to finish. I did learn a few things of which I did not know prior; mostly in the area of better ways to get to issues a little faster,” says Merritt.
