The “Remembering Michael” Campaign for a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis has begun.
This campaign is named in memory of Michael Hedrick of Martinsburg, West Virginia, who suffered from Cystic Fibrosis, and sadly passed away in June of 2008 at the age of 35 years.
Michael was employed by Hersh Business Services, Ltd (HBS) for seven years, and was a wonderful and cheerful and unselfish employee. His commitment and attitude impressed his employer, Brett Hersh, that he has committed his company to support finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Since HBS is a full service bookkeeping, consulting and accounting firm, who provides tax services, we have set up a unique way for individuals or businesses to participate without any additional expense. HBS has set aside 200 new client tax returns that they will donate 30% of the cost to prepare the tax return to CFF. In addition, employers or organizations and organize teams to participate to help raise funds for this campaign.
Individuals can also make a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for “Remembering Michael”, and send us a receipt and will include their name on our donor list. For more information on Remembering Michael and upcoming events, please go to www.hbsbusiness.com, and click on the Remembering Michael link.
In addition, at least two fundraisers have been scheduled for Remembering Michael. The first is Saturday, March 21 from 8 pm to 11 pm at Nan and Pop’s Place, next to Pikeside Bowl in Martinsburg. The second is a Barbeque fundraiser/
