Mumbai, Maharashtra, 13th Feb’09 - GOGOindia has partnered with SatNav Technologies which are pioneers in digital map data. Under this partnership, GOGOindia will be buying all India map dataset for all its navigation devices. Currently, the dataset includes detail map of 200+ cities and 2 million points of interest.
Furthermore, both companies have also worked closely to re-design the navigation software’s look and feel and added new functionality to it. New functionality includes simple straight forward search options for the user. The user will have three ways to search for its destination. ‘Local Search’ option will search in radius of 200 KM from user’s current position. If the user wants to plan a route outside his/her city then they can opt for ‘City Search’. In ‘Street Search’ option the user can search for main streets in any cities. This navigation software is exclusively developed for GOGOindia which it would be launching pre-loaded with its personal navigation device, G35. G35 initially will be launched in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai by end of first quarter 2009 at very competitive price point.
G35 is an out of the box solution for all your navigation needs. There is no need to install any complicated navigation software or e-maps. G35 also offers Bluetooth hands-free phone option for the car. Built-in FM transmitter can route phone calls or turn-by-turn driving directions to the car radio. It supports playback for music, video, e-book and photo viewing. The user will also get one free map update which would be released quarterly through GOGOindia’s website.
