Munich, Germany, Feb. 11, 2009 - Nomor Research GmbH, a leading provider of LTE protocol stack solutions, today announced that interoperability tests of its LTE base station implementation have been successfully completed and will be shown at the Mobile World Conference (MWC) in Barcelona from 16th to 19th of February 2009.
As part of the tests, the Nomor Research LTE base station protocol stack implementation was tested with Qasara’s LTE Virtual UE mobile terminal implementation based on the latest 3GPP LTE specifications (December 2008). The eNB protocol stack comprises MAC, RLC, PDCP and RRC layer based on the Release 8 36.3XX series specifications and can be integrated for various LTE products such as eNBs, femto-cells or home base stations or as part of UE test solutions.
A peer-to peer-demonstration of the LTE eNB and UE protocol implementation including live applications will be demonstrated during MWC’ 09 the at the Nomor Research booth 2.1A01(2-1).
“I am excited to announce the successful interoperability demonstration with Qasara’s LTE Virtual UE. This proves that our solution is ready especially for those companies with the ambition to be first in the LTE market. A proven track of interoperability with different implementations is of utmost importance for us and our customers, particularly taking into account the early stage of this emerging LTE technology,”
“Our collaboration with Nomor to verify inter-operability between Qasara’s LTE UE protocol stack and Nomor’s LTE eNB implementation has run very smoothly. This validates the quality of our designs and the market-leading position of Qasara’s technology" commented Michael Barkway Chief Executive at Qasara.
