Source: 2L inc., Hudson, Massachusetts - 2L inc. announced today that it has added two new Vacuum Chucks to its precision Vacuum Chuck product line.
In addition to the successful 8” x 12” Modular Vac-Vise Vacuum Chuck Systems, two larger Vacuum Chucks in sizes of 18” x 36” and 24” x 48” are now available. With the addition of the new sizes, 2L Vacuum Chucks can now accommodate virtually any size workpiece in any size cnc machine.

2L Large Vacuum Chucks are produced from flat ground, hi-tensile cast aluminum plate. Each chuck has four individual vacuum ports with multiple vacuum holes per port which allows flexible use of the entire top surface.
The unique grid design of the top surface maximizes vacuum holding power. Threaded holes in the top surface allow the use of workstops for aligning workpieces. Disposable top plates to prevent damage to the vacuum chuck when cutting through workpieces may also be attached to the top surface of the vacuum chuck.
Multiple Large Vacuum Chucks can be used in the same cnc machine to create extremely large vacuum workholding areas on large cnc machines when frequent removal and installation is not necessary.
Each Large Vacuum Chuck is available for purchase individually in sizes of 18” x 36” and 24” x 48”, or as Complete Vacuum Chuck and Vacuum Pump Kits.
A Complete Vacuum Chuck and Pump Kit includes all the necessary items needed to begin Vacuum Chuck Workholding under just one part number. A Complete Kit includes the choice of 18” x 36” or 24” x 48” Vacuum Chuck, Portable Electric Vacuum Pump or Air Venturi Vacuum Pump, Vacuum Port Assembly, Manifold, Hose Kits and Gasket Cords.
When using the 2L Vacuum Chucks, the vacuum is easily created by using the 2L Oilless Electric Portable Vacuum Pump or a 2L Venturi Vacuum and a standard shop air compressor. The use of a 2L Vacuum Chuck and an Electric Vacuum pump is ideal for high production applications. A Vacuum Chuck and a low cost Venturi Vacuum generator pump are recommended for short runs when a dedicated vacuum pump is not necessary.
