FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 11, 2009 -
Steve Flockhart, the lead Pastor at New Season Church in Hiram, GA delivers life changing messages every Sunday. He has seen hundreds of people regain their lost hope and faith in the last year that New Season Church started. In the month of January 09, he started a new sermon series called 'Game On –You Were Not Made to Sit on the Sidelines'. In these sermons he emphasizes on the importance of teamwork and encourages people to be part of the game or team to achieve success in their lives.

Steve Flockhart also describes various types of sermons that are delivered in churches. He says sermons are broadly classified into three categories. First are topical sermons that are delivered on a particular topic or subject. In these sermons, the scriptures related to the subject are discussed as they relate to the topic. Second are textual sermons where text from the Bible is explained and the third type is expository sermons where a passage from a scripture is preached.

Steve Flockhart delivers sermons are mainly expository sermons which includes main and sub points from the text which he describes in more depth, verse by verse. However, the sermon 'The State of the Church Address' delivered by Steve Flockhart unique - in this sermon Steve talks about vision and describes what God has done in the past, what God is doing today, what he will be doing in the future, mainly as it relates to New Season Church.

According to Steve Flockhart, where there is no vision, the people perish, but with the power of God people can reach their spiritual goals. He is thankful to Jesus for His cleansing power and washing away our sins. He prays God will give people the ear to hear what the God has to say to them and to help resolve their misconceptions of God. Steve Flockhart says that without vision, dreams, godly ambition, faith and hope; people will perish, die, stumble and shrivel up. To have vision one needs to have the ability to see what God has in store for us.

Steve Flockhart then discusses the opening of the New Season Church and the hurdles that came their way. Steve Flockhart says that a year ago when the New Season Church opened, they were a group of only 40 people. They had limited resources but a strong vision. He says that although they did not have sufficient funds, they believed that God would do something incredible. Today, New Season Church is a place to believe, a place to belong and a place to become, and a place where people feel connected and involved. There are more than 200 people who have joined the New Season Church within one year.  The church has given a new start to the lives of hundreds of people who were caught up in many different difficult situations. Steve Flockhart says that when one has vision and understands, believes and lives it then things begin to happen.

Pastor Steve Flockhart's sermons help people grow spiritually, and give a positive direction to their lives. In February, he starts a new sermon series on the prodigal son, his journey home, and a fathers love. In March, Steve Flockhart starts a series on identity theft, and in April on transformations. He also says April will be the month of praying and fasting, individually and corporately, for our families, our church and our community.
