To urge Americans to join the battle against these diseases, since 1963 Congress has required the president to proclaim February "American Heart Month."
Excerpted from several articles, the American Heart Association recommends taking a bath as a heart health benefit…
Finding the Balance Between Work and Caregiving
Make time for you every day. Do what works for you. Spend time with friends and family members, or participate in a group. Spend time alone. Plant a garden, go for long walks, read, take a hot aromatherapy bath, listen to music or go shopping for something that makes you feel better. Don't let a day go by that you don't include things that are important to you. If you are completely stressed out, you'll be no good at work or at caregiving.
Be Realistic. Think Positive
Fight negative or unrealistic thinking.
Your attitude can be the biggest barrier to taking care of yourself and doing the best job for a loved one.
Being realistic and thinking positive are easier if you:
Get enough sleep. It’s easier if you avoid alcohol, caffeine, nicotine and heavy meals near bedtime and try to take a hot bath before going to sleep.

Taking a Time Out
Before frustration boils over, head it off with an activity to help you calm down. Count to 10 slowly or take a few deep breaths. If possible, take a brief walk or go to another room to collect your thoughts. Try calling a friend, praying, meditating, singing, listening to music or taking a bath.
