Ice Halo, new product for preventing head injuries

The Ice Halo, a new product for preventing head injuries has hit the market.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Feb 10, 2009 – Nowadays, curlers and figure skaters as well as other sports enthusiasts are considering head injuries before going out to do their regular sports activity.  Nobody wants to gain an injury that prevents them from going on with their regular activities and keeps them on the bench for their sporting activites.  The Ice Halo, a new product for preventing head injuries has hit the market and offers a good way to aid in preventing head injuries.

Several associations have already made the Ice Halo a requirement before hitting the ice.  For example, the Barrie Curlers Association has been quick to adopt this new invention.  And many other associations have followed.  In the case of most associations, it is the first safety equiptment required.

The inventor of the Ice Halo learned the hard way how painful head injuries could be.  A small slip on black ice from her front porch had her in some serious pain for weeks with minor memory loss.  An avid curler herself, she looked for something on the market that would satisfy her desire to be safe and sound but able to play with comfort and ease.

After scouring the market for something to buy, she realized there wasn't anything other than huge hockey skating helmets that wouldn't look attractive while getting the mail or playing her favourite winter sport.  She set her mind to creating the perfect item and thus, the Ice Halo was born.  It is tested and has shown a reduction of impact force by over 250 G.

The Ice Halo is available from www.icehalo.ca .  It is stocked in many stores as well.
