If anyone might question the buzz on this relatively new band, they needn’t look further than the band’s upcoming concert at House of Blues. “The Early Republic has such an enthusiastic and dedicated fan base that, more than 1 week prior to show time, the 400 seat venue was officially SOLD OUT.” said the band’s manager Jason Wheelington of Maverick Music Management. “Quite frankly, as strong as pre-sales were, and with this being our first show there, we think the whole thing took the House of Blues staff by surprise.” Wheelington goes on to say, “Fans planning to walk up and get tickets the night of the show need to be forewarned. There are no tickets to be found anywhere. But fear not, we are already in negotiations w/ Live Nation talent buyers to schedule another show at House of Blues Dallas, sometime within the next few months, to satisfy fans that didn’t get a ticket to this show.”
Fans without tickets wishing to see the band perform this week, can still do so early this Wednesday morning (February 11, 2009) on KTXA 21’s “Daily Buzz” w/ Rance Adams and on Friday morning (February 13, 2009) at 8:50 a.m. live on KDFW Fox 4’s “Good Day”. Replays of the band’s KTXA 21 appearance can be found online now at www.KTXA.com.
The Early Republic and Maverick Music Management have also arranged to give away a free guitar at the upcoming February 13th concert. Free tickets, for the drawing, will be handed out at the door to concert-goers upon arrival. The drawing will take place during The Early Republic‘s performance. The holder of the selected ticket must be present to win and will be immediately awarded the guitar onstage.
