LGI is offering the following GED services and support up to 1,000 adult learners in 2009 without charge if they enroll before June 30th:
• Diagnostic Testing. Find out exactly how long it will take you to prepare for the GED exam.
• GED Preparation. Get customized GED instruction that is tailored to your learning needs.
• Skills Workshops. Build fundamental skills that will guarantee testing success.
Anyone interested in learning more about LGI’s GED program at MCL can stop by the library every Wednesday, anytime from noon to 8 PM, to speak with an LGI mentor. LGI will also hold an information session at the library on Saturday, February 14, from 10 AM to 11 AM.
LGI is working with Elkhart Community Schools Adult Education program to bring GED testing services to MCL in April 2009. This new GED testing site is supported by funding from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).
LGI is a not-for-profit adult learning provider that maintains two instructional facilities, one at the North Pointe Shopping Center in LaGrange and one at the Historic Roosevelt Center in Elkhart. LGI also works with the Goshen Salvation Army and the Nappanee Public Library to provide GED preparation and other adult learning services in Goshen and Nappanee.
LGI has nearly 400 clients in its GED preparation programs in Elkhart and LaGrange Counties.
