Outwinning competitive bids, DHS was awarded the contract for the implementation of Made4net’s best-of-breed WMS, WarehouseExpert, and Topsystem Systemhaus‘ pick-by-voice topSPEECH-Lydia product, as well as other related technologies. The leading full distribution supplier for the convenience market, Lekkerland, is looking forward to the complete automation of both its Horni Pocernice (8,600 m2) and Kutna Hora (4,400 m2) central warehouses.
The integration of Made4net’s warehouse management system wtih pick-by-voice technology will allow warehouse workers to communicate with the WMS using wireless headset to receive and confirm instructions by voice back to WarehouseExpert WMS. This will make it possible to manage huge volumes of data in an almost paperless process chain and to ensure timely deliveries to its customers across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The solution is targeted for roll out in early 2009 with Made4net’s WarehouseExpert implemented by the beginning of Q2/2009. Lekkerland expects a dramatic increase in productivity together with high customer service levels as a result of the upcoming implementation.
