Some international brands have been in China market for several years, such as Durex, Jissbon, Okamoto, etc. Others also begin exporting to Chinese market, such as Manix. International brands occupy the middle and high market in China while a large number of native enterprises capture the middle and low level ones.
In China, the retail price of a condom is usually between 0.5-3 CNY (0.07-0.43 USD).
With the increase in per capita income and the growth of awareness of protection against STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases), Chinese demand more advanced condoms. The sales volume of condoms expects to reach 10 billion and the sales will reach 700 million USD in the year of 2012.
